Southeast Elementary School students on a field trip to the 48th annual Worlds Largest Rattlesnake Round-up watch snake handlers with the Sweetwater Jaycees sort through snakes to be taken to the research pit as part of their on effort to gather biological data and other pertinent information about the Western Diamondback Rattlesnake, at the Nolan County Coliseum in Sweetwater, Texas, on Friday, March 10, 2006. The 2006 Rattlesnake Round-up brought in over 13,552 pounds of Western Diamondback Rattlesnakes, placing this year in third place for total pounds. First and second place are: 1982 with 17,986 pounds of snakes and 1983 with 15,053 pounds of snakes.
